You read that right: I’m opening my very own dance space in Brussels.
The KB Dance Hub is a dream I couldn’t have imagined making a reality but now it’s here. Even more meaningful, it is the only Black and Brown woman-owned dance studio in Brussels. Alongside Khushboo Agarwal, we’ve built an amazing space dance space right in the heart of Brussels.
This isn’t just a dance studio—it’s a labor of love, a vision for a home where movement, creativity, and community already begin to thrive.
Why I Created the KB Dance Hub
As a dancer and teacher, I know how difficult it is to find quality dance spaces in Brussels. Studios are often overbooked, too expensive, or missing the essentials like sprung floors, mirrors, and accessibility.
That’s why I created a place where everyone belongs:
✨ Dance professionals, organizations and movement practictioners can utilize a high quality and well-equipped dance studio for in Brussels for classes, rehearsals, events, festivals, socials, etc.
✨ Artists using the space for residencies, rehearsals, and collaboration
✨ Communities gathering to celebrate culture and diversity
The KB Dance Hub is more than a studio—it is a cultural and creative hub where people move, connect, and grow, no matter their background or experience level.
The Space
Right now, the KB Dance Hub stands in the heart of Brussels—on Rue Arlon at Place Luxembourg.
When you walk in, you find:
- Two studios equipped with mirrors, ballet barres, and sprung floors
- A welcoming environment for dance classes, workshops, festivals, events and rehearsals
- A vibrant hub for cultural exchange, artist residencies, and community festivals
- Meeting and office spaces where collaborations and cultural projects take root
How You Can Support
As you can imagine, creating this hub takes more than passion—it takes resources. That’s why we launched a crowdfunding campaign, which closes this Friday, September 19th.
Every contribution helps us:
- Add ballet barres, curtains, and furniture.
- Create a welcoming and homey environment within the space.
- Finish up remaining renovations in the space.
- Cover start-up essentials to keep the doors open and the community thriving
To everyone who has already donated, shared, or sent words of encouragement: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support makes this possible.
