🌍 Building a Sustainable Dance Career Abroad: Why I Created Arts Abroad

Hi Everyone!

Moving abroad was never part of my plan. I followed my intuition, took a leap, and ended up building a life I couldn’t have imagined — one that combines dance, teaching, choreography, and community.

Now, I’m thrilled to share something new: my online series, Arts Abroad: Building a Sustainable International Dance Career.

This 4-part online series is for dancers, who are curious about what it really takes to live and work abroad — whether you’re ready to make the move or simply exploring the idea.

Why I Created Arts Abroad

When I first arrived in Brussels, I didn’t have a roadmap. I had big dreams, a suitcase, and determination, but figuring out visas, funding, and where to start felt overwhelming.

Over time—through a lot of trial, error, and growth—I built a sustainable and fulfilling international career. And now, I want to help others do the same.

Over the years, I’ve received so many messages and questions from artists around the world:
“How do I start?”
“How hard is it to get a visa?”
“Where do I even begin?”

Those questions became the seed for Arts Abroad—a space to cut through the confusion and share real, honest guidance from someone who’s been there.

What You’ll Learn

Each session blends reflection, conversation, and mentorship, with special guest speakers (to be announced soon) bringing fresh perspectives from across the dance world.

Together, we’ll:

  • Map out your international career goals with clarity and confidence
  • Navigate visas, funding, and professional networks
  • Identify where your work can thrive abroad
  • Build community and sustain your artistic practice overseas

All sessions are recorded, so you can revisit the material and move through the process at your own pace.
